Dr. Kirk Smith is a native of Crown
Point, Indiana and has been at Smith Animal Clinic since May of
1989. Dr. Smith grew up in the veterinary profession with
his father and uncle, and knew at a very early age, that this
was his calling. He is a member of the American Veterinary
Medical Association, the Indiana Veterinary Medical association,
a past president of the Calumet area Veterinary Medical
Association and a member of the American Association of Equine
Practitioners.
After graduation from Culver Military
Academy, Dr. Smith earned a degree in Animal Sciences from
Purdue University in 1989. In his spare time, he enjoys
water sports, history and spending time with his family and
three dogs, one cat and four horses.

Dr. Amy Wozniak was born and raised in South Bend,
Indiana. She grew up in an animal centered family,
surrounded by dogs, cats and various pocket pets.
Dr. Wozniak started working for her local veterinarian when she
was 15 years old and has never looked back. She attended
Purdue University for both undergraduate and veterinary school,
graduating in 1994. She spent the next seven years working
in small animal medicine in Peoria, IL before moving to Lowell,
IN to be closer to her family. She has been with Smith
Animal Clinic since 2006.
Dr. Wozniak is owned by three dogs; Quincy,
Waukegan and Rico. She enjoys working with stained glass,
making jewelry and reading.
